The LAEP+ Planning Tool is an award winning web-based net zero and decarbonisation planning tool, developed with our technology partner Advanced Infrastructure.

The tool is free to use for local authorities in the UK Power Networks licence area, and was implemented in direct response to challenges many authorities face in gaining access to credible data, spatial mapping and analysis tools.

Visualise and explore key data in your area

Utilise credible data in your area, from both UK Power Networks and a variety of authoritative sources, to help you make decisions with the best supporting evidence.

You can even upload your own data to use alongside the provided data sets.

Develop deployment plans and pathways

Easily model and assess low carbon technology deployments, then compare costs & benefits. Select specific buildings and locations, or by your chosen criteria to deploy at scale.

You can even explore longer term pathways to decarbonisation to understand what is achievable based on your targets.

We’re conscious that learning a new tool can be challenging, so we provide a variety of resources to help you get started as efficiently as possible:

Built in guides and tutorials

LAEP+ includes a full knowledgebase, including guides, videos and tutorials for every key feature. Once you have logged into the tool, simply click the help icon and search for the support you need.

If you get stuck, our support team is on hand to help from Monday to Friday during normal business hours. Once logged into the tool, click on the help icon and message the team who will be happy to assist.
